DAMA CDMP Update: October 2015

Please note that with immediate effect, DAMA International has terminated its relationship with the ICCP (Institute for the Certification of Computing Professionals). What does this mean to you?

The CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) exams and/ or “CDMP bootcamp” will no longer be administered or delivered by the ICCP on behalf of DAMA International. CDMP material, exam syllabi, certification and re-certification will no longer be obtainable through the ICCP.  Please note that the change over will not invalidate your current certification. If you are the current holder of a CDMP certificate or are expected to recertify from this date forward, please contact DAMA I at cdmp@dama.org to obtain a DAMA-I branded copy of your current certificate and obtain the requirements for recertification. You may also provide us all the details online and have your certificate re-issued as well as opt-in to receive CDMP updates.

Should the ICCP reach out to any individual with regards to the DAMA I CDMP (and any of its abbreviations, acronyms or other variants) please note that this is not being done on behalf of DAMA International or DAMA Chapters and should be notified to DAMA I at ethics@dama.org. As this an ongoing legal process we request that DAMA members and officers and other interested parties please refrain from any comments or engagement with the ICCP without prior written approval from DAMA I BOD. The DAMA I BOD stands ready to answer any questions, please feel free to email president@dama.org or operations@dama.org with any queries or questions.
