DAMA-DMBOK® 3.0
The Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK®) is the global standard reference for data management practices. The 3.0 Project is a major community-driven update, designed to modernize the framework and make it more relevant for today’s data challenges. It will incorporate emerging topics such as AI, cloud, and modern data platforms, while keeping the foundational principles that professionals rely on worldwide.
In addition to the updated reference guide, we are also investigating a supportive digital content platform to make the material more accessible, interactive, and practical for the global data community. 👉 Learn more: About the Project

About the ProjectQuality, peer review, and global collaboration
DAMA-DMBOK® 3.0 is developed under a Triple Helix governance model, ensuring high-quality content and broad community involvement:
A dedicated team of 11 Specialty Editors, guided by a Lead Editor and supported by a Technical Writer. They streamline and manage the development effort, ensuring every part of the DMBOK® 3.0 is clear, consistent, and practically useful for real-world data management.
A group of 7 CDMP® Masters providing expert peer review and strategic feedback on content developed by the Editorial Board. They ensure the final content meets the highest industry standards for accuracy and quality.
Primarily DAMA members from local chapters and individual professionals around the globe. They get involved early and often—reviewing drafts, sharing feedback, and bringing unique insights that make the DMBOK® as useful and relevant as possible.
