DAMA International® is proud to welcome seven new DAMA chapters to our global community. In total, six chapters have reached official Affiliated Chapter status. In addition, one Forming Chapter has joined the DAMA® family. Above all, we congratulate every founding team on their hard work and leadership.
Six New DAMA Chapters Reach Affiliated Status
To begin with, becoming an Affiliated Chapter is an important milestone. For example, it shows that a local team has built a strong base of members and volunteers. Therefore, please join us in congratulating the following chapters.
DAMA Dallas (United States)
First, founding member Biswajit Mahapatra led the work that brought DAMA Dallas to Affiliated status. As a result, data professionals in the Dallas area now have an official local DAMA community.
DAMA Oman - Muscat (Oman)
Next, thanks to the leadership of founding member Jihad Al Wahshi, DAMA Oman - Muscat is now an officially Affiliated Chapter.
DAMA Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
In Brazil, DAMA Rio de Janeiro has also completed its journey from Forming to Affiliated Chapter. Likewise, we thank founding member Manoel Francisco Dutra Lopes Jr. for leading the team.
DAMA India Bengaluru (India)
Similarly, founding member Shivesh Kumar Singh guided DAMA India Bengaluru to Affiliated status. Because of this work, the Bengaluru data community now has an official local chapter.
