Who Can Nominate?

Individual Professional Members ( IPM)
Individual Professional Members (IPMs) in good standing may nominate themselves or others for any Officer or Director position.
Member Chapters
Member Chapters in good standing may nominate any Officer or Director position.
To remain in good standing and retain the right to nominate and vote, each Member Chapter must fulfill the following requirements by May 30, 2025, by the Affiliation Agreement:
- Pay annual chapter membership dues – You can either use the invoice we already sent earlier this year or use this payment instructions link
- Submit a current membership report: Chapter Membership Report
- Submit a list of current board members: Chapter Board Members Report
- Submit an activity report: Chapter Activity Attestation
Nominations can only be submitted on behalf of the Member Chapter by the Board of Directors, which resolved to nominate the individual(s) through a majority vote.

Submission Process:
Nominations must be submitted through the official nomination form
Nominations open on July 7 at UTC 23:59 and closes August 8 at 00:00 UTC
Nominees must provide a written statement explaining their qualifications and motivation for serving on the board. (This can be submitted via the nominations form)
All nominations must be submitted by August 8, 2025 (23:59 UTC).

Qualifications
Per Bylaws Article IX, Section 9.1, nominees must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a DAMA-I IPM in good standing as of July 1, 2025.
- Have completed a full term of office as:
- i) a Director or Officer of DAMA-I; or
- ii) a Director or Officer of a DAMA Chapter in good standing; or
- iii) a Director or Officer with governance responsibilities for oversight or management of another professional or business association, other non-profit organization, or for-profit organization with full-time employees.
- Meet eligibility criteria, including leadership experience.
- Be willing to sign and adhere to the Board Statement of Understanding (including the conflict of interest and code of ethics policy) each year, outlining the duties and responsibilities of a DAMA-I Board Member.
- Provide a written statement describing the individual candidate’s reasons for wanting to serve on the Board.
