Nomination Review Process

Governance & Nominations Committee Review

  • Governance & Nominations Election Sub Committee will verify candidate eligibility based on DAMA-I’s bylaws, governance experience, and skills criteria (including membership in good standing of DAMA-I and required leadership experience).
  • The committee will recommend a slate of candidates for the board position.

Based on its review of candidate qualifications and the following factors set out in the DAMA-I bylaws:

  • Individual diversity
  • Geographic distribution
  • Level of data management interest and activity
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Skills and abilities
  • Language competency
  • Willingness to actively engage with an international organization

Candidates not included on the final slate may petition to be added to the ballot.

  • Petition requirements (Bylaws Article IX, Section 9.3.3):
    • 100+ signatures from Individual Professional Members (IPMs) in good standing, OR
    • Endorsements from 10+ DAMA-I Member Chapters.
    • Petition period: August 18 – September 18, 2025.
